so basically i use the darken tool to make the lineart dark where the dark colors are and lighten tool for bright colors (im bad at explaining </3)

the lighten tool doesnt work if your lineart is just black so you gave to make it a bit lighter for it to work (same thing with the darken tool, it doesnt work if you make it white so you have to darken it in the color wheel a bit)
