Paperdust's body is extremely squishy, stretchy and lacks much form. (That's why when I draw him his body looks different almost every time.)
And he bounces, he's much like a squishy stress toy.
His head and petals are not squishy though. There's probably some kind of skull protecting the brain.

you can use his arm as a stress toy if you ask nicely
