But between Zero's reluctance to fell Iris once again and the revived and upgraded Iris' brainwashed determination to avenge her brother by destroying Zero, this maybe a battle he can't win.

Zero: "Iris, please listen to me, I don't want to fight you!"
Iris: "Either you face me or forfeit your life, murderer!"
Zero: "Iris, there was never a day that went by that I didn't think of you, of how I was a fool... Of how I couldn't save you or your brother... Please, Iris stop this! I don't want to kíll you again!"
Iris: "You'll have to if you value your life, coward! All that matters to me now is my revenge, and the satisfaction of your death!"

Fun fact, you know Isoc? The one scientist guy in X6 working with Gate? He was the one to rebuild Iris into this form in this story, as well as brainwash her to terminate Zero.
