Honestly...? I've been feeling kinda like that too. These vents are getting out of hand. I love helping people, but I'm stretching myself thin emotionally, and I'm about ready to just unfollow everyone and to follow my friends and artists I look up to... I really hate being like that, especially hurt people, but it hurts me just as much, more when I have no idea how to help. That's also why Spooks_Crypt is a vent alt as well, so I dont bother anyone here...
I really hope you feel better sis.. and I wish I could help....

trauma dumping is when you drop literally every issue in ur life onto others that you dont really know 'that well'

Yupp.. same here. I'm hurting already from stuff at home and physically from this STUPID PERIOD. I'll GLADLY help people like you, Sol, Yarn, Firefly, etc. but I cant do much for other people and it's getting to me worse than the vents themselves....

Yeah, it's really bad. I mostly stopped jumping into New Scribbles because that's where they all seem to land. This site is for art. Not venting.

It's part of the reason why I unfollowed about fifty people (That and my choice to mostly not follow people if I can't speak their language).

And you can report the SH/KYS vents. Unfortunately I've seen a lot of stupid petty vents that are really just little kids overreacting and being too obsessed with the moment or something. Sometimes I even try to find a post where they say they're under 13 so I can get rid of them.

Even then, a lot of people defend those who post a lot of vents, claiming Colors to be their only place to vent at. There's probably somebody in real-life who can actually or even willingly handle them. They just have to find one. If they can't they don't have good friends, or they're not close enough to do that. (Or they're using that friend solely to vent to. Then that's on them.)

If you find somebody here who will willingly listen to your vents, go ahead, talk to them. You don't need to announce it to the public. Put it on NSFW or an account specifically for venting. Contact them on a site that allows private chatting. Get their email or something, if you really think you can trust each other with it.

Vents. That's why I'm mostly not here right now.

I just rewatched it and it's mostly about rants about the 2013 Colors Gallery. It's still funny, but most of the rants it parodies are controlled now (ponies, NSFW, etc.). There was some tracing drama recently so there's still some stuff that applies.
