Riding the Waves of Paldea by BigBoy23
Gholdhego is surfing the waves and building new friendships. The pokemon is on the huge journey into people and other pokemon's hearts.
(Fun fact: Despite that you see him surfing here on my drawing and in the game Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, he cannot learn the move "surf" through normal means and via TMs. Really weird huh?)
This is also a gift as thanks for giving me a shiny Froakie in Pokémon Scarlet. He didn’t have to give me one, but I appreciate that he did. :)

I honestly expected the thousandth Pokémon to be something like a wandering Legendary or something like that.

Actually, this Pokémon is interesting than what you thin. I think he's based on El Dorado, a mythical king that covered his body with gold. While his design looks questionable at best, the inspiration for his design is an interesting one. Plus I do like pokemon that have that friend and laidback nature. ;)
