I was stuck at home for a week during the flooding here in Brisbane. Most of the area around us in Milton was flooded and we were landlocked so I went outside once every six hours or so to check how far the water had crept up the road. The street outside my window is normally obnoxiously busy with traffic but when I went out at 6am every morning, the silence was really surreal; no cars on the road or anywhere, a few people wandering in their pajamas down to the water. The only sound was distant sirens from evacuating buildings and chop of helicopters that hovered all day over the river. All I could think about for most of the week was how much it felt like H.G. Wells description of London the day before the invasion in The War of The Worlds. I had Jeff Wayne stuck in my head and thought this might be a good way to exorcise it while killing a few hours. The text is pretty poorly placed but I like the shape of it so I left it in.

Yeah thankfully the update totally cleared everything up. I just wish it also fixed the error in the botched files :/

One of my favorite books, and i kinda like the 1970 musical as well, this is an awesome painting, really captures the image of it nicely :] Im liking this.
