I Thought I'd draw this picture of the SS Posseidon, because it's one of my favourite film! The name Posseidon and it's Brother's name Zeus are actually Greek Gods that were said to rule the sea and are known as the God of storms and the sea. The Posseidon sunk in the Atlantic Ocean on New Year's Eve. The Posseidon capsized in 1969 and was based on the RMS Queen Mary that nearly capsized, in World War 2. The Posseidon was registered in Southampton. The film is based on the novel by Paul Gallico.
