dang, I've had drifting
but the screen glitching out...

I haven't had drifting issues in a long time. Screen issues? I think your Switch is old?

You need the yellow and the purple controller like I've got! I've had mine a bit now and they seem to be ok still'' My Mum got me these colours because they were the newest out at the time because my blue and red ones started drifting, to the point where the character moved on it's own and I could no longer bare it because it was mega frustrating. Poor you! I hope you get it sorted!
