Khalfani ("Destined to rule," Swahili roots) is the Pharaoh of the Western Nile Empire and very vicious and tactical in battle. He goes nowhere without his scimitars and snarkiness.
Bennu ("Eagle Girl") is a mother of two living in the slums of the Eastern Nile Empire, doing her best for them and herself before she married Khalfani and adopted his children. Very light-hearted and yet bold and courageous.

Also so nobody @s me, 1: Khalfani is a dude, and they can go around with their shirts off, and 2: it's hot in Egypt so that was the typical fashion.
