"Rips through sets with a lethal cadence."
The SS-FR, codenamed "Bassline" fires subsonic projectiles in four-round bursts. These subsonic projectiles travel slower than standard bullets, but due to not requiring a gunpowder-based propulsion method, have extremely low recoil.
To keep the weapon familiar to its operators, the SS-FR has a standard bullpup setup and traditional magazine, although no bullets reside in the magazine. Each magazine is filled with low-yield nuclear material and a pair of small cell batteries.
