xD Nothinggg, because colleges didn't like it :( so I had to stop. Buttt now that I'm in college, I'm gonna try and get it back. So HAHA college you're a s.uckaaaa xD
Colleges have this thing against anime/manga looking artwork and styles. They tore my as.s up when they looked through my sketchbooks aand told me not to draw it anymore so I stopped.
but now I've been going back to it and switching from this style to my other one because I really enjoy drawing like this. It just is a lot harder to do than before :/
Silly billy colleges. I was going to another art school for a year before, so you do see that right off the bat sometimes. That sort of nitpicking otherwise doesn't have to do in particular towards just anime, and can easily just run amuck otherwise putting people up to a certain standard for the sake of demand and hiring. It's sort of an economic thing, or worse that's the excuse sometimes. Really there's nothing that's so wrong inherently with anime? It has something of a bloated bubble based around it though. It's not like people who are anime artists don't admit there's really some sort of struggle within that form for drawing, that in part it's a challenge to make something defenitive. Sometimes it's interesting to talk to people who are pretty good as anime artists. Distinguishing it from a lot of the sweeping broadness, it just becomes merely more artful after a while. Less concerened on particulars, more concerened with your own art - at that point, it's hardly a matter of if you're drawing anime or not. There's more freedom to work, but then there becomes more of an increase in the weightiness of it. Anyways, you got back to trying stuff out old-school Alee. Totally looks like this was fun. You sound happy about it too!
