@NyxStarbright, well, in The Wind Waker, he has a grandmother and little sister, but it never tells what happened to his and Aryll's parents, so I guess we just assume they passed away somehow. As for Zelda, in Wind Waker, it only talks a very little bit about her mother, but not much else. And there's only like, two, maybe three games where either of them have family, which is kind of sad, so maybe in the games where they don't have parents, we just assume they died somehow, prior to the game's events?

In Skyward Sword, Zelda has a father, though

You are right, it's just I found it weird and sad and I think a family would add to it.

Idk, it could add humour and emotion to it where they don't have to die, hopefully.

@NyxStarbright there's also a mention of link's father in breath of the wild, plus concept art in the japanese version of creating a champion where link has a father and a sister. maybe we'll get to see his family in tears of the kingdom??

@NyxStarbright, yes, I also recommend Wind Waker! It's really an amazing game. The storyline, music, and graphics are so good (in my opinion) :)

@NyxStarbright, It IS weird and sad! And the least Nintendo could do is provide a small backstory for what happened to their families! :0

Also it's always bothered me about BOTW, that the others despite being skilled and intelligent enough to be their people's Champion, they were all ******?

With Revali it makes sense, as he is even in death SO arrogant.

And yeah, I was so sad when I first played BOTW when I got to the part where it told that the Champions had died. Especially Mipha! All of them, really. Another thing that bothers me about BOTW is that there's hardly any music in the background, or dungeons/temples, and those are really big parts of the Zelda games

BOTW got pretty boring tbh, with its wash, rinse recycle shrines, where to make just ONE complete stamina wheel you need to complete TWENTY seperate shrines.

Whereas with the heart container it is just 4, the shrines tbh feel like a whole load of padding because the divine beasts are half the game complete and tbh they weren't that hard if you went in prepared.

That and being told "The blood moon is rising once again!"

AND having to pause see it every time even ctd ->
