Story: It isn't easy being Slate, he has both his parents' abilities, he has Emerald's dragon side, and Abyss' space powers, but this means he undergoes a lot of pressure and training compared to his siblings. He never really gets to have any fun, and when he does it doesn't last all that long. He's defended his siblings from bullies as well, and the pain has taken it's toll on him.

Slate slowly turned darker and distant, growing more angry at himself, and afraid of what he could do. And by the time his siblings, Emerald, and Abyss found out, it was too late. He'd become completely dark and corrupted, yelling at himself, screaming all the things he did wrong. His family had to keep him in place to talk to Slate, and once they got through to him, he turned back to normal. For a couple months after his meltdown, his parents were careful not to overdo anything. Slate soon felt

better and started to get light again. Soon he was back to his old self, and everyone was relieved at how happy he was again. Emerald and Abyss apologized for giving him too many orders and too much training. They said he was still young and should have fun how he should. Slate was happy to hear those words, and everything just went up from there, and Slate grew up to be a hero just as legendary as his parents were.
