The undersketch as I work on my latest #rdcontest entry... Does anyone have any advice on how to draw realistic fur? I've yet to be able to manage it.

Look up shading value, basically the application of different levels of shading used in the drawn fur. Sorry for the late response I'm fighting depression and mourning trying to get back into my art it's hard.. Thankyou for your support

Basically exactly what you are doing just take it further darken all of your shading just as you have it valued so there should be white, really light shading, medium and dark shading. When doing this it may feel like u are overdoing it but for some reason the more shading and application of light source or where the light is coming from adds to realistic appeal. Copy this pic and use the second to practice that way this one stays the same. Sorry It's been awhile since anyone asked art questions thankyou
