Dark Slate by EmeraldGalaxy
Unlike his mother Emerald, Slate had control as soon as his Dark Form activated, Emerald on the other hand, took a couple years to master hers, because she was so afraid and intimidated by it. Slate isn't frightened at all by his main form, neither is anyone else, but Emerald still wonders how he quickly and easily accomplished something that took her very long.
