Believe it or not, these 3 are EMERALD'S FUTURE CHILDREN!!!!
From being kidnapped and experimented on, Opal, Emerald's youngest child, has the ability to bend space and time by using her new Chaos Control ability. Allowing Opal to take her siblings and herself back in time to visit their mother, Emerald, in the past. Seeing how she was like as a child. The 3 hedgedragon kids share powers, and an extremely close bond, willing to do anything for eachother.

Oh! Forgot to mention, Slate is based off of Emerald's Dark form, Topaz is based off of Emerald's Jewel form, and Opal is based off of Emerald's Perfect form! :D
I've been sketching what the Jewel and Perfect form could look like, they'll come eventually. :)
