The first letter Twilight ever sent her teacher was held by her fading magic. As the ponies, reduced to their own three tribes broken apart outside the castle walls. As an unknown threat loomed over the nation, she sat alone.

As she twirlled the old scroll, debating on opening it, she reflected on her life, on her rulership. She wondered if she failed.

Her ears flickered to the noise of a world crumbling outside. She let a sad smile cross her face.

Maybe the issue was, she didn't care anymore.
