Nice concept : ) There aren't really any bat based monsters in MH (not counting scalebats in MHW).

Yeah, other than scalebats, the only bat-like monsters are Paolumu and Frontier's Zenaserisu and Meraginasu, but all of them are Flying Wyverns. So I wanted to make a proper bat mon, being a bit of a microbat/megabat mix.
