to any minors reading this. please please be safe online. dont let adults prey on you. if any adult ever says you are mature for your age or sends you explicit content, RUN. tell someone, get help. adults who treat kids like that are DANGEROUS. please be vigilant online. childhood is so precious

I was exposed to a lot of inappropriate content on here, (And some very inappropriate interactions with people much older than me, I never even realized how weird that was until recently) as a 11-12 year old kid, and I didn't even have the mature filter off. Luckily nothing got really bad but I wonder if that's why I'm desensitized to lots of concerning things now.
Not to mention random drama and very concerning su/cidal posts or vents that weren't even put on mature nor taken down.

I remember that...back in around 2017 this site was rife with people having nsfw roleplays and most of them weren't even put on mature so I got exposed to all of that.

The rampent nsfw has been an issue for years and it's sad. I've been on here for like...9 years? And it was even an issue back then.

@soupibuddi im so sorry you had to go through that. i was repeatedly asked to draw nsfw by a 30something year old man on this website when i was 15. it was awful. the guy keeps making new accounts here too. he gets banned over and over and is banned in the discord server too

It's pretty unfortunate that moderation here has been really lacklustre in the past. I'm not really sure why, but before my time it just wasn't really a priority.

We are trying to make things better though, I've just spent the last ~six months completely overhauling all of our internal moderation tools so that they're more flexible and give us a much better overview of what's happening on the site (this also is partly why there hasn't been much in the way of user-facing updates recently, oops).

It'll never be possible for us to review everything ever posted to the site though, so please do keep using the report feature if you see anything that isn't appropriate. Creepy behaviour and sexual content in particular are two things that I really want to rid the site of.

@gauzyguts I'm not sure who you're talking about, but if you're saying that this person still has an account on the gallery then please report it to us. We don't allow people to make new accounts after being permabanned anymore. And @SoupiBuddi we don't allow suicide or self-harm posts either, but these rarely get reported, so if you do see them please report.

im 14 and ive seen things on the way more disturbing side on here. im not that affected since childhood ended extremely early for me unfortuneately. but i have concerns for people younger than me. im glad this is being adressed

You're supposed to be 13 to join anyways. But either way, keep explicit stuff set to mature please. And kids, please turn the mature filter on, that will also keep you safe.

I may not be a child anymore, but I wholeheartedly agree with this. It's honestly disturbing how often minors are exposed to such content.
