The irony on my part is that I'm so used to using minimal tools now, that using software like Krita or Photoshop is somewhat overwhelming for me. I'm working on getting some high quality equipment in the near future, but for now, it's buget management.

On a more relevent note, it's interesting to think that this is based on an AI generated painting. It's only a matter of time before robots conquer the art industry now..

If people do invest in high-end drawing equipment remember that you can still use that equipment for Colors when you get the urge.
The PC Beta works well with drawing tablets. The Android and IOS versions are dated, but if there are not OS conflicts still have pressure support.

the conclusion you make here is debatable, you say it is only for sketching and conceptualising but what about art from Papercut, Munin and other artists that really are good enough to hang on the wall? I think time is the element we can use to elevate the art, 1 hour painting is a concept sketch , a 4 hour painting is a concept art :)

I think I say the same as what you say, to make something nice it takes more efforts, consumes more time and energy, the same is for traditional tools and other apps.
maybe we agree a good drawing tablet is more important than the app . I use colorslive on pc with wacom tablet it is my favorite way , (the sonar pen is a fun toy but when mine broke I didnt feel the need to replace it hehe)

@madwurmz 'sketch' and 'drawing is still debatable until now even on traditional tools, not only based from how long-time spent. So do you have any other 'best use' of Colors Live on Switch?
That decent i mean has big resolution with detailed images, and not too pixelated on big screen.
More efforts i mean it takes a multiple ways to draw something, for example how to draw stars/starry night. You need to draw square then make it triangle, then duplicate, then rotate..... Meanwhile in another apps, there's star shape brush with one stroke you can get the same or better result.
I don't say sketch only is bad tho, many people enjoy that, even prefer buy sketches than paintings. And I'm talking about Colors Live on Switch, not PC, so i don't really know about that. I guess it's much helpful with big screen.

ah yes I agree! and colorslive has limits because it is kept simple intentional and that is maybe because there is only one main person doing the development! .. it is very nice you are still using it even now you are becomng professional! how long can we enjoy your work before you get a better app??! :)

I was trying to stay active with thest account but the 3d is missing that is unable to get back to that old work

and now im just doing ai art , doing things with pc that is magic i cant help it , more images rendered than i have paint paintings
