Thanks, sure. I never/rarely draw grotesque before, so it kinda challenging. So, these(series) all are actually a living things? But can't move like plant or can move? Or maybe it's a planet muscles, like digestive system or intestine. So the whole plane actually is a single living thing and the surfaces seems like that.
Yeah along those lines. Living building-sized structures of flesh and bone that don't appear to be actively dangerous unless threatened, so over time people lost their initial fear and became used to them enough that the nekropol just became a part of daily life.
It's mostly as a shortening of necropolis, which is an elaborate grave site with monuments to the dead, literally meaning "city of the dead." In this case the meaning is being stretched because these things make the cities they take over look like some kind of cursed hellscape.

interesting! when you say nekropol, are you saying what google explains like, nekro means dead, nekropol means cemetery? smallnekropoly?
