One of the more effective ways to learn how something is done, is by trying new things. It may not work the first time around, but now you know one thing that didn't work, and next time try something that'll work better. That's the glory of practice.
On a side note, I decided I'm going to do your request next. I'll keep you updated on progress there over time.
