OK
so basically there is no alpha lock feature but there is lighten and darken, which has pretty much the same affect

basically, if you color your lineart (literally any color) and use the darken tool, the lineart can be more than one color (and it blends instantly)

I wish the 3ds had the new brushes.
I need two screens to draw apparently, and the switch lite feels weird. So does the sonarpen. I'd use colorslive otherwise. (We own both colors3d and colorslive)

jasper's method works but, you can also use the flood fill tool on thicker lineart to change the color too!! thats what i do when i draw on my switch since my art is very heavily lineart based
