SAYAKA
I LOVE HERR

-of an emphasis on her personality in general. Since she's such a popular idol, she has a crafted image. To compliment her as a leader of her idol group, she has an adult-like persona, but she also must maintain an air of innocence. She always places pressure on herself to keep up this image, becuase she has constant anxiety that if she doesn't, she'll fail. Since all of her favorite idols that brought her so much hope were able to, she has to as well so that she can bring the same- (1/?)

-joy to everyone else. At her core, though, she cares more about others than her own well-being. She works herself to passing out often, and doesn't often take care of herself. During the events of the game, when she sees the idol group she worked so hard to support in danger, it drives her to desperate measures. Her core philosophy, after all, is that sacrifices must be made for the greater good. Her caring, empathetic, and emotional nature compliments Naegi's inquisitiveness and adds (2/?)

- feeling to the reader's perspective, her perfect partner persona falls apart as she takes on the responsibility of saving her friends and everyone in the school. Under so much pressure, one eventually breaks, however, and Sayaka meets her untimely end as her plan is turned against her by Leon. During the trial, I think it would be interesting if Leon argued with Monokuma about how unfair the scenerio is-- neither he nor Sayaka knew about the punishment aspect. I think that would be an (4??/?)

(the last one says 4 but it's actually the 3rd) parallel to (SPOILERS FOR V3) how blatantly misleading, unfair, and hopeless Chapter 3-1 was.
Sayaka being the first victim was super predictable and her character is so misunderstood, so I'd definitely try my best to add more depth to her if I were writing her! She deserves more love tbh and they could've done so much more with her story and tragic end!!
