Values and colors are stunning realistic.
Do you have some suggestions on how to practice values?

Yes, painting from life will lead to revelations and knowledge every time. Some that i've learned are;
- if 2 things are similar in colour and value, i will close one eye, and half close the other so that the image I see is blurred. Without the detail, you can see the difference in value a bit more.
- in the painting above, it was a bright day, full sun, no clouds, so both the sunlit building and the sky were highly saturated. But what was the difference in values? Using the Colors! colour wheel, I can paint the yellow and then when when picking a blue, slide the picker along the colour ring on the outside and then slide the picker in the triangle up or down to decide on the lighter or darker value.
- also when painting in Photoshop, paint an image in grey scale only, then add a new overlay or color layer above it and paint in some colour, the values will stay the same.
Well, i'm still learning, too.. After each plain-air painting, I make a mental note and say, " what did I learn by doing this painting today" I also just started following a blog by James Gurney. HE is an amazing teacher.. His blog is outstanding!
Cheers, and Merry Christmmas, Happy Holidays!
