@Wind_Waker they are well aware that it is more advanced. But Colors is meant to be a simple program on a convenient platform that many already own. This was especially effective with the 3ds, which already had a built in pen. And many who might not have tried digital art otherwise got started that way. Many buy drawing tablets, Ipads, etc. and then feel they are "graduating" from Colors, and so in the past we lost quite a few from the community. But having used the more complex programs, I still like Colors for its simplicity, especially on Android and the 3ds. And the new Windows Beta is a good step forward, so that when people buy drawing tablets etc. they can still use the program. And the gallery is still a big draw. Though some on Instagram, Twitter, DeviantArt or ArtStation do really well, there is still something simple about uploading here.
@Hailsss Yes, it is available for the Ipad and for Iphone. Up until recently @mcollins used just his finger on an ipod touch for his painting. For the Ipad Otaner has referenced using the ipad and apple pencil here: https://www.colorslive.com/details/4636911
The IOS app is not without its glitches as I understand it. You might talk to Otaner for any information. For those wondering there is also an Android app. The tools on these are going to be similar to the 3ds, with hard round brush, soft round brush, and bristle brush, and an eraser. You have around 5 layers. But the Android app has pressure support, and I think the IOS does as well. You may want to clarify that with Otaner. Neither of them have 3d support as on the 3ds.
They don't promote the IOS and Android apps as much because they haven't been updated for a while. In theory the Android app may not be compatible with all devices. I found in practice that the program has worked for me on every phone I tried it on. One feature, the video export, worked on all but one ,and there was a workaround for that too.
haa yes Colors on ipad is very outdated ,but the plan is to get ColorsLive on iOS somewhere later this century. I didnt like painting on ipad , the pen goes too smooth but there are a couple of good artists that use it so I guess you can get used to it! ipad itself is a fun distraction but watch out it gets you addicted to the internet ;)
@madwurmz.com yeahhh i have the ipad now, i mostly use ProCreate on it (as the description says lol). although i did get colors too, and its pretty bad ngl xD... And true, im trying my best not to get too addicted to it. Been balancing it out with more productive hobbies, like art and music :P

Also in android there are a couple thinga to set right. If you don't have a pressure pen then turn off pressure or you get too transparent of marks.
Also when exporting if it fails that usually means the program does not have storage permissions in the Android app settings. Enable permissions.

@MangaCollab For those who cannot find it in the store search for "collecting smiles" the company name.
