Well you have to be with someone (like a friend or sibiling) in the same room (And if i remember right even the wifi but im not sure) sharing the same drawing app
(You can only do that on 2ds/3ds, they remove the Paint with friends option on Switch)
Then you click share with friends while opening a drawing
Then the other person should click paint with friends and you will recieve a notification saying something like "This "User" wants to join"
Aaand thats how you can draw with friends
