I was gonna draw a Rapidash with a Swadloon riding it's back but thought that was to hard so I just say nah.

@losersclub A massive amount of horse riding is really painful for horses and drastically reduces their lifespan and leaves them with permanent issues. I was considering making a post about it as well but i don't know if this is the best platform for a complicated discussion. It can get heated and misinformationon this topic is common. Put simply though if there is a good way to ride a horse then it isn't what many horse riders are doing especially in competitive horse riding.

@losersclub none of this is to say that horse riders are all bad people or that anyone who ever rides a horse is an animal abvser. It's just one of many problems that deserves more consideration i we want animals to live full and happy lives.

@RoseSoup oh that makes sense i was confused because most horse like horse riding but you just have to be careful because if they are over weight its very painful for them

@losersclub Exactly! It is about being considerate of the living being you are bonding with. incompetitive riding they throw that out the window because they care about winning and they are making millions off the horses. Ex competitive horses often need rehabilitation when the owners discard them for not winning enough. It is very sad. Regulation of animal welfare will likely change this in our lifetime but it can be difficult to pass regulation in some places.

I'm an ethical equestrian. I see so many people blatantly abvse their horses to the point where their horses run away from them. It upsets me to see beautiful horses become afraid of their owners.
You are absolutely correct about there being a great deal of unethical horse owership, looking at half of the competitive industry, all I see is harsh bits and humans hurting their horses as a result of not winning a show :(

I missed the opportunity to talk about my loan horse xD
He's a retired racehorse, and all those years did hurt his legs, he's on light walk-trot work only due to it :(
I took to him after seeing so many people try to ride him faster and then calling him lazy, but he does amazing with regular massage ( which I'm always happy to give him :two_hearts: ) and light exercise. Unfortunately his owner still tries riding him at a faster pace, I wish I had the money to buy him :/
