Snowpaw backed away from the river edge, wiping tears from his snout. He heard a rustle in the bush beside him, then he was tackled. "Traitor!" the attacker shouted. "W-what?" Snowpaw said. The attacker was the clan deputy, Mulberrynose. "You pushed Blackberrytail into the river!" Snowpaw blinked. "No, I didn't." he replied. "I tried to SAVE him, but he let go." Mulberrynose growled, "Likely story. You're going to Ravenstar IMMEDIATELY." He let the apprentice go, and stalked off towards camp.

// time skip // Ravenstar was groomng herself, when Mulberrynose burst into her den. She sighed. "What. Now." she said. "Snowpaw," he began, pulling Snowpaw in, "pushed Blackberrytail into the river." he growled. "Really?" she sighed. "Snowpaw, explain yourself." Snowpaw, who had been staring at his paws, looked up. "Blackberrytail was showing me a move, then his paw hit the edge and he fell." Ravenstar eyed him. "Blackberrytail was the most sure-footed cat I knew. Therefore, I know you're

lying." She stood up, and padded out onto the high-rock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the high-rock." She waited for the clan to gather before continuing. "Snowpaw has killed Blackberrytail, and he is now banished from the clan." Ravenstar flicked her tail. "He will now go by the name Azuki." Snowpaw's eyes were filled with tears as he ran out of camp and into the cold forest.
