Part of me wants to slap you round the face for having the patience to paint the way you do. Another part of me is not so reactionary and just wants to give you a soft punch to the kidneys, bwahaha! Flat out, I personally think this is the best painting you have done on the DS. I don't know what kind of mood you were in when you painted this, but it differs so much from your previous work. Maybe you've had that little *click* in your head that can happen from time to time, and you suddenly find yourself running on a new course. This direction is really worth exploring.
Lol munin, reading this tickled me, and yes you r right, I didn't focus on detail as I always have before and concentrated more on giving the impression of it, i concentrated more on creating atmosphere, I upped the colour on my brush using thicker strokes, also I've stayed shy of the mist brush pretty much, which I normally use frequently , as for a slap ha ha yeah I probably need it lol, I can understand why u must get frustrated , I'm aware that I break all the rules, spending time on detail that ends up covered because I havnt sorted my elements first ect, this must be a capital offence to a speed painter lol. Thx for the comment :).... Ps I havnt forgotten about the tryfan painting I still havnt sorted my e mail yet, will send as soon as ta :))
Ha totally agree with Munin! Gorgeous colours. The consistent texture flattens it out and brings it all at your eyes at once, which is delightful for this image :D
Beautiful and what an interesting process. Pointillism, impressionism and now scribblism/impressionism. Maybe this style already exist and it does to a degree when artists leave their sketch lines visible and it adds a lot of nice texture and interest.
Thankyou zeldaAutumn, the way I paint just sort of happened by accident, lots of trialing with different texture effects sort of molded me an individual style on here, I havnt seen any art style similar on colors as yet :)
Thank-you Gaz for your comments on my art. I wondered about your style, it is certainly very effective and reminds me, somewhere deep in my mind of real life scenery I have seen, such as moss on rocks where there is river spray and certain light levels can produce a similar affect. Anyway I love it, it has depth and motion and even in 3D that is not always easy to achieve. Keep your wonderful style always, and nope I have not seen the like anywhere else to date. :D
È un disegno bellissimo , fatto con cura e precisione , sei un' artista davvero bravo , che sicuramente vuole continuare i suoi disegni finché non sono perfetti ! Complimenti ! Sei bravissimo !! Mi raccomando continua così, fai dei disegni davvero meravigliosi ! Claudia '02
