- shes no longer a fursona, but i do still hold her quite close to me
- her birthday is 9/2 (september second) because thats the first time i ever drew her
- she needs an open back dress due to her wing membrane extending over her shoulder blades and down her back. the laces are so it isnt constantly flying open and exposing her butt lol
- she lives at crosswind harbor, kind of the central hub for various characters of mine and my friends. she works at the library with #siriude, situated within the town's clocktower
- she's an anxious mess and prefers to spend her time reading and writing, publishing her own fictional fantasy novels as well as factional(? thats not a word) historical works
- she's more of the bookkeeping person, since she stutters a lot and tends to avoid most ppl when they come into the library
- she's close friends with #ovie, who works at the local cafe

uuuh unfortunately thats not an easy question to answer, since i first designed her all the way back in 2O18 and so idrk what my design process was at that time
knowing younger me, i probably just googled "bat", picked the first one in images, and vaguely referenced from it fhfksjdhxjs

if i had to decide what kinda bat she was now, uh. Hm. idk i'd have to get back to you on that since i only know like two bat species i need to google sh/t later lol

OH (replying to grumpy) and the reason i prolly chose a bat was likely just bc i 1) saw other people's bat fursonas and saw rlly cool ones but didnt see many of them, and 2) probably just thought bats were cute
i rlly dont think there was much to my younger self's design process, since like. u know i am missing braincells now and so younger me had even fewer braincells lmao

the idea of her being a vampire bat is really funny to me because she definitely would never wanna bite anyone or anything
which makes me wonder...... do some places have like, resources for characters that have to drink blood or eat mostly meat??? bc with this being a fantasy world, i imagine ppl have to do more to cater to more niche/weird things
idk if i'll make xio a vampire bat, again ill prolly google things later and figure it out pffft

I imagine she'd go down the morbius solution since vampire bats ONLY drink blood, nothing else. she'd basically be eating artificial blood which isn't as potent but it still gets the job done

Or just have little rats snacks in her pocket

i was less afraid of other people thinking it's weird and i was 100 percent afraid YOU would lol
because i was just learning how to draw animal legs so they looked WEIRD (i literally drew them as perfect circles WHY) and THEN half of the time i wasn't even drawing real xio i was drawing FAKE xio
i was drawing a xio COSPLAYER lmao

anyways Yes i have hard baked it into xaetl's lore that he has several memorials to xio around his house (including but not limited to the infamous xio sticker and gravestone) and now she's REVIVED so when he canonically figures that out he's gonna go ballistic

she's 23 now, i missed her birthday,,,,, twice <//3
