Honk potential is the answer.
Regardless of gender; the mere presence of a clown is enough for any mere mortal to drop down on their hands and knees and pray, pray for sacred "Honk". It is still unknown to this very day if such a thing exists, but the sheer fact of it's concept brings life to even the most deprived of souls.
