Behold, the source of Maya's corruption. She disguises herself as a chaos emerald and waits for unsuspecting people to pick her up. She then corrupts their entire being and feeds on their life force. If she's not finished and senses the person fighting, she'll imprison them in their own mind and become a literal puppet master. Once she finishes, she'll leave the person and continue. She left Maya and was shocked that Maya survived and got an upgrade. The two are now sworn enemies.
