i usually play pokemon (x specifically) for breeding lol, i sometimes try shiny hunting. i have the dlc for fantasy life and i am demi creator/master for the majority of my lives, and creator on hunter and paladin iirc

the only issue w/ fantasy life is that ive mostly played it on my 2ds w/ the dlc and my 3ds currently lacks dlc, but i plan to sort that out sometime within the following month of july hopefully lol

my bad for responding late but holy sht thats awesome !!! i always replayed my Pokémon games but never attempted to complete the dex n get shiny charms + shiny hunting I'm afraid I'm the type to get frustrated easily lol but that's so cool what language did you do? i'm slowly making my way to getting a living dex in my game!! so far im roughly around 45O in my dex iirc, so i'm getting there very slowly,,,,
i haven't really done too much shiny hunting yet?? i did find a shiny ditto sometime recently during some pokeradar chaining tho :O most of my shinies i either traded away a long time ago or straight up lost them when i lost my omega ruby, but i still have a couple

i set my pokemon y to japanese since i wanted to make it Especially Hard to play, since like. i know how to navigate all the menus and such, so adding the barrier of being unable to read my movesets nor enemy attacks makes it a very funky challenge
ig i probably could have set it to a more readable language like spanish to at least guess/estimate what a move does but,,,,, Nah lol

OH and if you wanna trade i wouldnt mind!! idrk if i have anything that good but it'd be fun :D

oooh i see, here's my list of games:
- Fantasy Life (love this game, got over 2OO hours over multiple saves <3)
- Pokemon X & Omega Ruby,,,, i own all of the 3ds pokemon games i just dont have progress on a lot of save files outside those two lol
- Kid Icarus: Uprising
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf. relatively new save with not a lot of progress but i still have it djshshd
i actually do own fire emblem awakening iirc but i havent really played it much, mostly have it bc my friend kept recommending it to me since he loves the series lmao

and oooh stella glow :o i think i played a demo of that back when the eshop was still a thing, i thought it was pretty cool.... maybe i should try it out again in the present day :3c

nice!!! my 2ds xl is just black and cyan, its extra cool tho bc ive got a special hand grip that goes on the bottom half of the console, makes it way easier to hold and kinda amplifies the speakers so they're easier to hear :D

i just put all my shinys back on the new file, with a pokemon editor thing i have that also has a storage simaler to pokemon bank :)

i get often urges to restart my games, not sure why, but yeah

my New Leaf file has alot of progress atm. i restarted it August First, but it looks really nice. its almost done actually! ^o^
ohh fantasy life! i wanna play it real bad but since my L button is kinda wack i cant actually make a file on it... i can make a character but once im in game and the text or whatever starts i cant even press A or anything to continue the intro. :c
like, my L button acts as if its constantly pressed. like in home menu and in games. its not tho. me and my sis have checked for dust and we cleaned in/around the button twice to no avail. we even tried the button remap thing but i didnt do anything so we -

- were thinking of bringing it into a local place that does electronic repares. (they do gaming systems, including 3ds)
they may have to open it and check to see if it needs cleaning inside.
but idk.. i have heard online horror stories of people opening there systems to try to fix loose wires and things and skrewing up the system.

but hopefully the people are proficianal enough to know not to skrew it up. o-o

otherwise, ill just have to play games that can be played without the L button.

like even Pokemon Ultra Moon needs it..
i cant fly, i cant use the storage, i just goes through all the boxes continusly.
at least in XY and ORAS there is option in the options menu to not use L or R buttons. Ultra Moon doesnt have that. .-.
so im mostly playing gen 6, and New Leaf, and games that dont need the L button XD

and stella glow is fantastic btw.
its story/plot is great, i love the voice acting,
the characters all have their own unique personalitys. the lore is super in depth.
the music is good, it has some japanese voices for some of the songs.
its honesly in my top 3 faveorite 3ds games.
like, pokemon is my fave series, but stella glow is a fantastic solo entry. Colors has a bit fanart from it but the game dosent have a huge fanbase. though anyone i know who have played it, love it.

i can even give a summery.

its about a boy named Alto who has lost his memory, when a girl named Lissete takes him in to live with her and her mom in the village. one day the village is turned to crystal by a the Witch of desruction. So Alto and Lissete join the Regnant Knights to try and find the other witches to save the world from crytalization with the power of song.

it plays a bit simaler to Fire Emblem actually.

sounds like me with my copy of pokemon sun lol, i restarted it fairly recently.... and then just havent played it.... and then started playing ultra moon digitally instead sjsjshdsd. i tend to get pretty attached to my save files on games so i try not to restart them unless absolutely necessary, ive restarted most of my older pokemon files tho due to me being trans and them having my old name on them made me uncomfortable <//3 if pokemon had the ability to rename ur save files without hacking i would've never deleted them lol

my new leaf file is pretty new as i havent played the game much, i started it maybe a week or so before christmas but havent actually played very much bc ive been busy for the holidays. what villagers do u have?? :o for me,,,, i have to check my game oops i dont remember most of them :'D
oh man that stinks... ive researched a lot of stuff about people repairing 2/3ds consoles online (both in case my stuff ever breaks and also bc tech repair--

and restoration/console modding is a big interest of mine) and although i havent researched a lot about new 2ds xls specifically, my best guess would be that the button's spring might either be stuck (if it feels mushy or doesn't press well compared to ur R button thats almost certainly it) or there might be corrosion on the button's motherboard contact (caused by maybe spilling smth on the console or leaving it somewhere overly wet/escessively humid). usually this causes a lack of registering presses altogether, but the inverse can sometimes rarely happen too i believe? if it were an older model i would honestly have recommended tryna take the system apart yourself to clean the contacts/take apart and fix ur L button, but new 2dses are an absolute nightmare :'D they're so slim and are a lot easier to break due to how much they have tightly packed. its not really a difficult repair for a professional, but absolutely not recommended for a beginner. :(

consoles in the ds family arent really that scary to repair unless you need to get to the top screen or speakers, stuff can get tricky there but for the most part a huge majority of issues fo the consoles can be solved by cleaning, swapping old parts for new or plugging things back in. its definitely kinda daunting and not the best project for a first-time repair but its a lot less scary than people think lmao
but ye, i do hope u get ur L button fixed :( in the meantime, there may be a homebrew mod that disables the L button triggering? cuz ik some remapping mods exist (such as remapping a system to take inputs from a wireless controller), i'd maybe do some research. obviously not a permanent fix but its better than nothing if a solution exists :'D

I LOVE FANTASY LIFE SO MUCH!!!!! definitely in my top three 3ds games, and def in my top five fav games of all time theres so much that i love about it <3 ive put tons of hours into it across multiple save files its so damn fun

sure thing, u can add me!! also although it may be a bit late for adding bc of the shutdown, u could homebrew ur 3ds to get pretendo network on it and add me there :> its a standin service that ppl are making to replace the nintendo network servers for 3ds and wii u, and although its in beta rn it has a lot of potential!! miiverse already works on it along with a select few games having online play, and once u install it properly, switching over is as simple as running an app on ur home menu (and u can swap back at any time too) :eyes:

i was so happy when miiverse worked sjdjdhsd, their standin is called juxtaposition. iirc its in a public beta rn and might close down soon for maintenance reasons n the like, but itll definitely open up again as they iron things out!! the 3ds version doesnt have a lot of features/supported game communities rn unlike the wii u version but again, its all in beta and im just glad stuff works as well as it does atm lol

well ive managed to download pretendo onto my system and create an id but sadly ive run into a bit of a roadblock... i had to update luma to its latest ver since it had been... a While since last update but after that whenever i boot up the system it just turns on for 1 sec then turn off no popping sound or anything but i also cant tell cuz my hearing isnt best :sob: but usually if i keep pressing the on button it may turn on so it may --

dw abt text walls i write a lot of text too lol, anyway ough that stinks :( i know luma also needs smth called bootstrap9 (or boot9strap? cant remember) to load and after a certain version number it needs a specific bootstrap version too so, maybe look into updating the bootstrap? thats all i can think of assuming its not some unrelated hardware failure, especially if ur ds was working fine before updating luma :'D regardless, hope u get it working again!! and dw abt how long it takes to add me sjsjdhsd i do not care the amount of time :p

@Elininjakat well, just tried booting it after install new boot9strap - still turns off after pressing the power button :c feel like it MIGHT be a hardware issue as maybe a cable got loose since i am a little clumsy and my poor 2ds tends to get tossed around. may open it up n see what the issue is. it has usually done this even before updating but i feel like it Could alsooo be something with my sd card since it boots fine without it in + ever since switching over to bigger card it has done --

-- this. ill have a look inside it sometime soon n see if its a hardware issue and if its not then i may just have to buy another sd card.. and have to go thru the trouble of transferring files AGAIN...... sigh. hopefully it will not be that long

hmmm, im not super sure but if it has the turning-off issue when the sd card is in the system but turns on fine without it, then either there might be smth wrong with the sd card (either physical issue or some corrupted file in there) or maybe the system's sd card reader? hmm... what size sd card do you have and what specific console model? cuz iirc sd cards above 64gb can sometime cause loading issues for older 3ds systems. and how long does the console stay on for before shutting off?
it also wouldn't hurt to try checking out the nintendo homebrew discord server (if u have a discord account) for advice, since theres a lot of technical experts in there who help both with homebrew issues and also some hardware issues. you could probably find an invite somewhere online but if not i could send you one tomorrow (cant rn since i dont have a phone and currently dont have pc access :broken_heart:)

@Elininjakat well its a 64 gb microsd with regular sd adapter which is what i feel maayyyy be where the issue lies? i remember seeing somewhere online someone else had problem with using micro sd with an adapter for o3ds/2ds. sometimes it works sometimes not but i probably should invest in a regular sd card and use that instead... im in the homebrew server already so i probably should check there but i will deal with this tomorrow cuz im sleepy aha

ooough yeah that might be the cause, nintendo consoles definitely seem a little finicky with sd card related things (source: tried to do wii modding in the past and used FOUR separate sd cards bc stuff just kept having weird technical difficulties) so i would definitely look into a normal sd card rather than a micro plus adapter :(
