fun fact: i transfered this from my 3ds to my 2ds and then back again when they both were running out of charge in a desperate dash to finish this on time lol

its the effects work thats covering up how extremely simple the background is fhfksnshdk the background itself is something i'm absolutely sure you could really easily do

the answer is yes....... kinda. i dont have person experience with an apple pen, but since the pen is designeed for/compatible with tablet-like screens, you'll probably be able to draw on the screen without too many problems? but, you'll miss out on pressure sensitivity, as the switch doesn't natively support hardly any drawing pens.
however, colors /does/ have its own official pen to draw with, called the sonar pen!! you'd specifically need to buy the colors-branded sonar pen from the official colors website, as a regular sonar pen is unlikely to be compatible
i'm not really the best person able to give an answer though, so if you're on switch right now, there's a tech support page you can contact from the main menu when you start up the game. go to the page in the top right from the main menu (where you can see all your paintings you're currently working on), and you should be able to see a page right there for colors tech support!! i hope this helps at least a lil :D
