That and a lot of help from my family.
Here's a tip that really helped me: The most important part to drawing is knowing what you see. So, I recommend trying to recreate a drawing you like, and then look at what makes the original different than yours.
Like: "Oh, I drew the ears too small," or "His eye aren't supposed as tilted as drew them."
This really helped me out, so I hope you find it helpful too!
