Her design, much like the other background characters in G5 needs help.
She doesn't seem to look anywhere related to the other Alicorns from G4, I don't understand where she came from anywhere. Why she didn't show up in the movie. But the show is still happening, so maybe answers will come.

The new generation of MLP is on Netflix, but I recommend watched MLP friendship is magic since its much better and the new generation is based on that show. You can find that on Netflix too, and youtube. :)
