Victor felt so tired. His dreams had been crushed so many times, he had nothing left to hope for. All he wanted was to be around his loved ones, cared for, and safe. He wanted a family, children, grandchildren, a wife who loved him, as much as he loved her. This life had been stripped away from him decades ago. His fear of abandonment and lonliness was just his reality now, but he couldn't even find the energy to be afraid. He was just exhausted, and lovelorn... Hopeless.
