Sunny Starscout fell into an uneasy sleep the night her Father died, in her dreams she met a alicorn who reminded her of somepony from ancient Equestria, but she couldn't pinpoint who exactly. The Alicorn with a sad smile introduced herself as death. Also known as the Grim Reaper. A Myth.
Sunny talked with Death long into the night, expressing her grief. Happy to have a new friend even if she couldn't be assured it was real. Death comforted her with the knowledge her father was happy. That he was in a good afterlife.

Night, after night, Sunny would return. Much to the surprise of Death and simply talk. Tell her about her day, about the town she lived in. Ask for updates about her Father.

They talked for many years, about many things. During this time, Sunny still could not tell come to a conclusion on to who the alicorn was, and why Death avoided questions about herself when she was "alive."
