If you look up the definition, it says its a term used for people who support ships regardless of their own preference/feelings. But proshipping has been used for people who will ship problematic/illegal relationships. They seem to use the excuse that its fiction and it doesn't matter, but it matters to a lot of people. I don't want proshippers interacting with me since it affects me with my irl past trauma. Others don't use the term proship for regular shipping these days, which is why I don't consider myself proship even if I support people shipping who they want as long as it isn't gross. I hope that explains it.
