all (constructive) critique is welcome from anyone ! I have a petty good idea of where I need to improve but other output would be helpful and greatly appreciated!
@Vinyl ahaha thank u! @izzaa Oh definitely, thanks for the feedback! @MeganekkoSama11 I think trying out different art styles is important and also fun haha, thanks! @Hailsss AW thank u I love your art too!! And omg I really need to draw more guys LOL @ruthie LOL you win!! What would you like a request of? :)
Most of your art is stylized human characters which is fine and fun! How about experimenting with more subjects like objects, animals, backgrounds/settings? or changing style a bit e.g. more realism studies. Or studying the stylistic differences of the masters. e.g. Van Gogh versus Picasso. Not only more guy characters, but maybe characters of different ages, different body types. More work on different perspectives and extreme angles of the subject such as pieces with foreshortening. Alot of the images are only front facing. In short just things you don't have in your gallery yet. The world is your oyster!
@ruthie I'm on it! @Sky_Galaxy Your art is amazing, don't sell yourself short! But thank you so much! @It-The-Artist and @Plainwaffle You both found the secret word! Very clever lol, Lmk what you want me to doodle! :)
@khangaroo1250 This means so much to me, thank you for putting so much thought into your response! I will definitelt be referring back to this for ideas, your feedback is greatly appreciated! @Obonzo89 I'll try! @Pastrys_N_Milk I'll keep that in mind, thank you!
Honestly, you don't need to improve as long as you're happy with your art. But since you're making this post, I would assume that you're not satisfied with it. Sooo... My advice is to look at what inspires you and draw ideas from it. Do you want a more realistic artstyle? Look at art that's more realistic to get inspired. Do you want to make something more abstract? Look at absract art to get inspired. You get the jist.
Never feel like you need to improve on your art unless you want to.
@Mewsea This is really helpful advice, thank you! I get caught up in wanting everything I draw to improve my art in some way and forget I'm allowed to have fun sometimes haha.
I don't know enough about technical theory to offer specific advice but i can tell you that i really love your work. i am personally less excited about realism because to me realism is more of a tool (albeit important) for refining an overall skillset. So i would say to ask yourself what is it that makes your work and your goals unique in style and substance and how can you make that show in the final product. Your simplified cartoon style is so unique. How can you bring that to your realism?
@RoseSoup Ahahah I agree I love manatees! This is a really helpful perspective! I always view realism as entirely separate from my other art, I'll have to remember that there's an interplay between them and what goals I'm tackling with both, thank you!

@ponopzop Honestly my art isn't the best so I don't feel I have a right to critique it lmao- But on a scale from 1 to 10, say your art is 10 ^_^

12 May, 2022, 1:16 pm
i love your art absolutely. but i think perhaps playing with some 3d models would help you loosen up your art. make it feel more alive.

@Artyeeveeto oo yeah backgrounds/landscapes are my weakest point for sure thanks!
