Nice dynamic strokes. Good job! I would think a self portrait would be difficult, because we have a self-image that interferes with our actual image.
It is easy to get into the habit of staying up late to do art. Just make sure you are leaving energy for all the priorities in life!

It definitely turned out waay better than i thought it would. If i ever do another self portrait from a mirror, i need to make sure the lighting stays consistent.. I did this with the light coming through a window, just in time for the sun to set which threw off all the colors! And ik, I'll try to get some sleep lol

You gave yourself quite big bags under your eyes. Maybe that's what's giving you a drowsy look. Still looks good

I think its a little TOO dark under my right eye though. The sun was setting while i worked on this which threw off the colors. :P So i started to darken some areas because of that.. xD the rest of my face didnt get the same treatment lol!

it reminds a bit or your previous painting, because girl also with hat!... Put the portait in a landscape layout, then it just didn't fit the hat! :P

aw you edit ur description to say u not sad!
... but it is ok to be sad ♩ ♬ I play the phrygian dominant scale ,it is especially sad ..
and to paint a portrait in 2022 it is even apropriate to show sadness, personally I removed most of smiling portraits from my gallery recently :O it is better to be happy and to smile but that is not so easy...
