Shading Practice by BiniBean

Since I am taking things more slowly right now, I am going to spend some time on trying to improve my shading. If anyone has any suggestions for me, especially relating to shading on Colors Live, please let me know.

P.S: Thank you so much for the support :) Especially relating to my current struggles.

This look amazing! :D

For shading advise I usually use different colors instead of a black and white type of shading. For example if I am working with green I'll use a darkish blue for shadows and a lightish yellow for highlights.
I've also been told to use warm and cold colors in contrast in order to shade and highlight something.
For example if I use a cool color like blue for shading I'll lean towards a yellow or red for highlights because they are warmer colors and vice versa.
On Colors live I generally follow the rule of using adjacent colors, those on the "right" and "left", of the color I'm using.
This doesn't always work however and sometimes it's better to test different colors to see what looks best.

I hope that helps and take care of yourself :)
