When some pipsqueak puppet boy from a furry game comes along and steals your narrative/symbolic puropose and also your creator's heart so hard that you become redundant, and now if you try to push the character, people will just draw comparisons between you and them, effectively killing any potential you had to spark inspiration, since he's already done that.
