@Twarda Atm, I don't have discord, so I would like to ask something: What is your approach on coloring realism? Do you start with a base color first or what?

@razrdraws Hi! It's a difficult question to answer, really, since what I do during the painting is often an absolute mystery even to me, and each painting is a different journey to me.
But, I think what I do first and foremost is 1. defining the position of the light source, then 2. the shadows it causes, also 3. figuring out the ambient/object bounced light in these shadows. In the meantime I do 4. some tricks to cheat my way through (illusion of a finished painting), and lastly 5. I constantly check if anything of this makes a logical sense and is pleasant to look at :)
