#戦争 I like military stuff, sci-fi, war, and alien invasion. But of course not the real one. Indonesia as the part of non-aligment movement country will not support with nor against any major bloc. Neutral.

Open discussion: but not about war :p
I'm still troubled to create scratchy, rusty, metal texture with Colors Live, because I always rely on soft brush tinniest line from Colors 3D for that. If you have any tips comment down below. Thank you. #painton3DS :))
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

I had a couple questions regarding your realism style:
1) What Is your approach (method) when drawing realism
2) How do you do an accurate watercolor effect here?

@LEMONBONES @TB_studios thanks tank. :))
@razrdraws i think the answer for both of them is experience. When you have draw million times you will achieve that, not talent, but something like a sense will be awaken.
The important thing for realism are:
•anatomy/proportion - you need to study about perspective too for this.
•color-value and lighting. - different with cartoon that using primary and secondary colors, realism use >tertiary colors
For watercolor effect (and any traditional medium), you need to practice that first on your sketchbook, so you will know how it should looks like when you draw it digitally.
Thanks. Hope it gives you some clues. :)

I think you've got a cool rusty effect with this tank. For a scratchy effect I would literally use the thin solid brush tool and sketch in the scratches individually.

@mcollins Yes, you do that so nicely for fur and stuff. It goes well with your style.

I agree with @mcollins theeffect is good here. I think part of it comes down to how far away the object is. The color changes convey the differences from one area of the tank to the other on this, And as mcollins pointed out, you can draw in individual straches with the hard brush.
I think the bristle brush is superior for metal textures up close, by dragging it in a line across the surface in one direction, with some transparency, over the top of a solid form. However, I don't think you would see such detail from this distance.
The blending of the colors of the ground, and the simplicity of the ground, really bring attention to the tank well here, while still conveying interesting terrain. You were able to use some bold colors without it overwhelming things. And the contrast of those colors with the colder steel brings out the sinister nature of the tank.
