Very clean way to make them! I wondered when I first saw your paintings with them how you got it that straight

this is some math, the numbers correspond to the 360 degree of a circle.
the five point star has angles at 36 degree . ( 360 / 10 )
and 36 x 2 = 72 degree, so it is easy to remember ;)

the description can also be a bit confusing, because it is just info along with the playback, the digits are needed for the clean approach with a square where I limit the overlap , so there are no random parts overlapping, because the size of the square is the same final lenght of the star point, that is cropped off exactly at it's titled corner ... I think the playback is needed along with these words.
and I also have a small updated approach ;
I copy the tilted merged layers and use move&select to place it underneath the other layer, then I move it again , to get it precise on the center, in it's middle.. it feels very satisfying to match up and get that pixel perfect approach :)

there is room for error when the 36 degree rotation is done, it shows whole numbers but it works in decimals, the developer is working on it.
