If anyone who speaks and reads Japanese fluently would help me I would really appreciate it. A co-worker's son has this tattooed on his neck and I would like to tell him the translation of these letter forms. :)
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

I know the character on the right means "power"... The character on the left is kinda hard to read... I tried to look it up by the radical on the left of it since that's easy enough to tell, closest thing I could seem to find was 祿力 (not sure if kanji will show in a comment). If I got the right kanji here, this might be Chinese, not Japanese. The kanji on the left doesn't seem to be part of the Japanese common kanji. There's also this fairly similar looking one 禄 that apparently is in the common kanji and has the same meaning (you can look them up on Wiktionary). Couldn't find this word in my Japanese dictionary, though.
I guess if they're meant to be separate, the one on the left just means "happiness" and the one on the right means "power".

Thank you very much Danno. I was joking around with my co-worker's son about possible meanings for the two characters he had tattooed on his neck. He didn't like what I said one bit. lol. :D And, I also told him he should know what he's getting tattooed on his body before doing so. I also told him the one on the left could mean 'gay' and the other could mean 'man.' If I were gonna get a tattoo I would make sure I knew what it is I'm getting tattooed on my body first before doing so. For instance, the kanji for "chaos" is a cool looking character but, its meaning is not something I'd want tattooed on my body. (For anyone out there who is gay or lesbian, I'm not bashing you. So, please don't send me any hateful comments.)

Hello!
Japanese kanji often have multiple meanings.
I'm sorry.
