@JuanMena yes, these are guidelines , some specific approach that is called the reilly method, some steps to control the symetry and get closer to the subject likeness
yes, it can also be seen like Anatomy landmarks , they indicate the edges that devine the shapes, the shapes are formed by the anatomy, it is helpful if we make these personalized to each face. the lines of the jaw and the parts around the nose for example, it can make or break the dame ;) it is some sort of extended Andrew Loomis construction

I can't help but notice the patterns you make on your portraits.
I've noticed those lines fall in places where Anatomy makes important landmarks.
You're making those lines to follow Anatomy?
Or you're just separating Light/Shadow?
Or is a kind of aural proportions I'm unaware of?
Construction lines?
I'm curious!
