Some quick comments and criticism on myself regarding OC requests.
I do tend to take some creative liberties when drawing them. I do read up on their reference details, what makes this character who they are, and work on refinements from there that I feel may be appropriate, and complimentary.

Firstly, I went with a modern pseudo-European Dragon model. Not that there is anything wrong with the original references. @BloodDragon is a phenominal artist.
Since BD thrives on moin light, I decided to try a bright glow on the hair from the moon.
The next change was the white skin belly. I felt changing it to pearlescent white scutes would be complimentay to the ambiant light, and likewise a scaly purple back to match the rest of the texture.

Criticisms:
I still struggle a little to get the legs to look right, particularly where they connect at the thighs. also, I don't do small wings. they look more realistic when big like this.

This is FANTASTIC!
It is so beautifully detailed, every tiny scale, the glowing hair/mane, and the belly scutes are just so gorgeous I can't get over them! :D
The background too, it's so brilliant I honestly wish I had the words to describe how much I love this entire art piece, but alas I do not.
I don't know if you realized this but it's incredibly cool to see every iteration of Blood's design represented here, even his really bad original design.
I'm also happy you decided on large wings because they look epic and they add this really nice shape and form to the artwork (I'm not sure how to better describe it ^^;).
Looking at how detailed this is just imagining him with his usual tiny wings it would have definitely looked off, unlike in his more goofy and cartoonish style.
And, don't worry you did Blood's design justice, so much so that I might not be able to do Blood's design justice now Haha!
I hope he was a fun and challenging character to draw, even though he has a fairly simple design, well other than his funky nonsense horns.
Also, it's really cool that you were born year of the Monkey, my brother's one too! :)

As a side note I also wanted to thank you for all your kind words, and I'm not just talking about the recent ones regarding this request. I read the comments that you wrote back on my old vent piece when I was in the midst of some really bad drama (I'm not sure if you even remember this) Looking back on it now, with a few more years under my belt, I know that I could've handled that situation a lot better.
Still, reading that really warmed my heart and made me incredibly happy. Also it is really good advice, I hope I'll never need to use it but I'm glad that I have it
